It is applied by transportation of scrap metal, metal sheet in packs, strips, slabs, pig-iron ingots, bandages and solid-rolled wheels in gondola cars. On each hatch of a gondola car there are two cable twistings put on.
Cases in which the twistings are imposed at gondola cars hatches, and the order of their setting on is given in the Instruction on the order of cable and wire twistings setting on cars and containers which is authorized by Ukrzaliznytsya on 26.07.2004.
The cable twisting consists of case 1, cable 2 and the fixation mechanism which is located in the case (figure 1).
For installation of the twisting it is necessary to pass a cable in an aperture in a sealing angle piece, to capture a hatch latch with a cable two times and to pass it through an aperture in the case of the twisting, to tighten the case closely to a hatch latch, to make attempt to pull the cable out of the twisting case having convinced in reliability of its fixation (figure 2).
Removal of the twisting from the car is carried out by cutting of a cable with the help of scissors.
