It is designed for inspection of the body tilt of freight and passenger cars at the places of loading of freight cars and formation of passenger cars, at the commercial and technical check points for cars at the stations.
Before use of the device a car should be fixed on a straight surface of track which rails are on the same level.
Device (pic. 1) consists of body 1, hand 2 and scale 3.
The body tilt of cars is determined in the following way: the device is affixed with its side face to the body of a car (pic.4) or its corner post, in this case hand 2 will point the body tilt on scale 3 that should not exceed:
- for passenger cars: 50 mm (mark ІІ );
- for freight cars: 75 mm (mark І ).
